Ms. Grigoryan wrote a project proposal for Kultur Aktiv which was successfully awarded funding. This gave Ms. Grigoryan confidence that she has the ability to write proposals and win projects. Building Strong Local Councils in Armenia
Local councils represent a key element in the local self-governance system in Armenia. They are designed to provide a counter-balance and oversight to mayor’s policies and decisions in order to be more accountable to the electorate and ensure the well being of the entire community. However, councils do not fully exercise their policy-making role, nor have they established rules of procedure that provide more in-depth and specific guidance than stipulated in legislation.
