Armenia is Restructuring the Pension System

The current pay-as-you-go pension structure in Armenia will be replaced by the mandatory contribution system. Starting from January 2011, Armenians will take more responsibility for their pensions.

Three Armenian officials, representing the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) participated in the 10th Meeting of Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Law and Policy in Geneva, Switzerland in July 2009. Study Tour Experience Inspires Action.

As the largest election monitoring organization and a key player in building democracy in Armenia, It’s Your Choice (IYC) NGO recognizes the importance of transparency and accountability in local governance. In April 2008, a group of IYC representatives participated in a study tour to the US to learn the fundamentals of rating the post-election activity of elected officials.
